I am from interpol. If anybody hears from him, make him e-mail me, I don't know what his e-mail address is anymore......

Right, while I'm here, I'll let all and sundry know about what I've been up to since January.

The way I figure it, my next post will be sometime in the year 2034.

Okay, January was an uneventful month. Except that we got another guitarist in the band - Mikey P or 'Big Mike' as he is known to those who've met him. He's really quite good, and the band are starting to sound pretty 'Awesome' to quote Jeff (our old guitarist, who works in a supermarket in Malvern and has a neck-beard) but we don't seem to get many gigs, which isn't so good.

I've been given a pay rise, which means I may be able to pay some of my debts off.... I'm still with my good lady Carol, who doesn't annoy me yet, even though I've been going out with her for quite a while now. She's in the pub at the moment, pissed-up and sending me soppy messages, although the last one ended in 'hair hair hair hair hair.' For some reason. This reason may be that I'm growing a beard. A proper, full face beard, with no gaps or anything, just to prove I'm a man.

I have also bought a new guitar and my my what a corker it is. I've never owned an expensive guitar before, but now there's a lovely red rockabilly guitar sat on my bed. I bought it with a bonus I got from work in March.

That's about it really. My friend Michelle (my brother's on-off fiance) is the voice of RyanAir (phone 0121 410 5287 if you don't believe me - but do it at night-time or you'll go through to somebody that may or may not
be Michelle) as of today, which gave me a chuckle.

So, if anybody sees Mr McKelvie on his travels, get him to e-mail me from an e-mail address that works, and I will be forever in your debt*

Au Revoir Mes Amis,

Matt.

* Debt will be repaid within two weeks, consisting of one bag of dead cats.

Happy New Year one and all, greetings and salutations from sunny old Birmingham, home of the great bronze bull Tauro, slayer of men and protector of shopping.

It's been a fairly eventful, um, two months since I last left an entry, so I thought I might make the effort and let people now how I am and stuff.

Following on from my last post; I got better. But the filming we were supposed to be doing with Neil didn't happen (some problem with hiring a venue, I think), and I can't remember what I did instead. I think I probably didn't do much, knowing me. Which, being me, I do.

So what kind of crazy goings on have you poor folks missed out on recently? Well, I'm now officially 'going out' with Carol, my aforementioned lady friend. She is good, so far (but give her time, I'm sure she'll wind up mental), and we see each other for a couple of days/nights every week.

She came round on Friday, and we went down to a pub near me called the Goose, which sells cheap booze. When we set off, she was already drunk (you see why I like her) and was manhandling Dave (one of my housemates, I'm sure you all know Dave), and throwing him around going 'DAAAAAVE!!!! DAAAAAAVE!!!!!!'. Carol is much stronger than Dave, what with Dave weighing about four pounds, so this was quite humorous to say the least. Despite this, Dave seems to like Carol. He thinks I should 'keep hold of this one', which is a sentiment echoed by most of my friends really.

Erm.... apart from me finally having sex again after a barren spell that lasted nigh on two years (my poor wrists), I can't think of much else that's happened. The mighty KingMonkey have been playing again (yaaay!) and I've been knocking out a few more shoddy songs. Oh, we had a gig the other night and I left my work trousers (yes, I only have one pair) in a bag that I gave Jim to carry home. To Malvern. Clever boy Matt. So I've been to a charity shop and bought some trousers that somebody died in. £4.50.

Right, I'm going to go. Bye.

Good evening one and all, how the devil are we?

I've caught something nasty and have spent the last two days in bed feeling woozier than Ian Woosnam, either shivering through coldness or sweating like Mike Peett / Meatloaf. It is not good. I think it is most likely
'the flu', and I think I caught it off my new friend Carol, the young lady who I went on a date with the other week.

She came over to my house and met Dave and Nick, but she still wants to see me again, so I think we're meeting up on thursday....

I've got a couple of days off work this week; I'm filming with the King Monkey boys for our friend Neil (who's all clever and makes films) on the Wednesday, then I'm sitting on my arse for an extended weekend from Thursday onwards...... which should more than make up for not having had a weekend this week, what with being at death's door.

That's about it for the moment. See you all soon....

Post Number 3....... I had a date

And it was strange. I had a good time, don't get me wrong, but having never been on a 'date' before, it all seemed a little odd. We watched the texas chainsaw massacre. It was absolutely terrible, but at least we both thought so, and we watched it in what was probably the coldest cinema I have ever encountered. Still, the company was pleasant (and nice looking) and we learned a few things about each other, which means we now know each other infinitely better than we had before.....

Don't know if I'm going to see her again, not entirely sure what kind of impression I made (She thinks I look a lot older than I actually am, which may be a bad sign...), although she seemed to enjoy herself once the film had finished....

Not really done anything else. Waiting for dave to send me a link to some kind of on-line strategy game, had another boring, underpaid day at work, listened to mefirst and watched the Salon and Hollioakes. Mike's bringing some incendiary devices to destroy our garden with later.

Remember remember, the fifth of november.....
Gunpowder, treason and plot.

And a bunch of twenty-something year old men playing with sparklers in their back garden.

Hello. What's happened recently?

I met a lady a couple of weeks ago at a gig. She seems nice, and we have since been trying (without success) to meet up. I think she's coming to see 'Return of the King', a gig we're playing tomorrow, so it might get interesting - who knows?

Had a practise today. It went well, which is good, and we're having a pseudo-party. Which is like a normal party with less people. But the same amount of beer. Which is probably better......

Anyway, hope everybody's good, and not got any life-threatening diseases, I'll be back in a few days (possibly) with another update on my incredibly fascinating existence.

Matt.
